2018 Reflections

This year has gone by so fast! It doesn't feel like it's been a whole year since I sat down to write 2017 Reflections. I'm so thankful for how much my blog and social media channels have grown this year. I have so much fun connecting with all of you guys online and sharing a little bit of my life with you.

It's been so great to see new faces in my feed on Instagram and Twitter and I'm also really excited to see more people following along with my blog on Facebook and Bloglovin. The growth on a social media platform that stood out to me most this year was Pinterest! I've been receiving hundreds of thousands of views each month on my pins and I've been having so much fun trying new things and working to create the best content I can. One of the most exciting things for me was seeing my Grinch letter board quote explode on Pinterest. This was literally the first thing I put on my letter board after I took it out of its packaging last year — I had no idea it would be so popular!

Some other fun social media highlights include a random tweet of mine being featured in a Twitter moment {can we say most likes ever?}. That was another very unexpected moment and I think that's the funny thing about social media — you can have as many strategies as you want, but it's always the random, unexpected posts that turn out to be the most successful, or at least that's the case for me.

I probably say this a lot, but I don't think I'll ever say it enough: I am so grateful for every single person that has hit the like button, left a comment, or shared any of my posts on my blog or social media. It means so much to me to see that people are enjoying the content I work so hard to create and I definitely notice the support from each and every individual person.

Looking back on the year, I would say my cruise to Alaska was the most exciting and eventful moment! Not only was the trip amazing, but it was also my first time flying on an airplane! We had so much fun and, for me, that has been my favorite cruise and possibly even my favorite vacation ever. You can read all about my trip here if you missed the posts earlier this year. I highly recommend visiting Alaska if you get the chance — add that to your travel bucket list!

We also took a quick trip to Disney this year to experience Toy Story Land for the first time! During that trip, I sat in the front row for Vertical Horizon's concert in EPCOT, which was another cool moment from this year. It's only been three months since we were last at Disney, but I'm so excited for Stars Wars Galaxy's Edge already.

Speaking of concerts, my sister took me to see one of my favorite artists, Khalid, in concert in June and that was such a great experience! I really loved being able to see him pretty early in his career while he only had one album out because everyone at the concert seemed to know every single song and it was so cool to hear practically every person there singing along throughout the entire concert.

I turned 22 this year and I was fortunate enough to work with Basic Invite on a post celebrating my birthday with you guys! I had a lot of fun at my birthday party watching my favorite movie, Hocus Pocus, {which celebrated its 25th anniversary this year!!} and I had beautiful invitations courtesy of Basic Invite! I worked with a few other cool brands this year and I'm always thankful for the opportunity to share fun new products with y'all.

All in all, I'm very content with 2018 and grateful for all that it brought me. Just like last year, I'm not really setting any goals for the new year, simply working on being the best version of myself and seeing what 2019 has to offer! Here's to opportunity!
